November Hawaiian Luau Dinner

Another great fundraiser dinner at the American Legion Post 17 in Manhattan, KS. Everyone enjoyed the good eats and many went back for seconds.

On our menu for November was Pork loin with teriyaki or sweet and sour sauce, mashed potatoes with pork gravy, rice, Hawaiian salad, lime jello, Hawaiian king rolls, cheesecake, key lime poke cake, cookies and iced tea or coffee. It was very tasty.

The American Legion Riders decorated the post with the “Luau” theme. Every guest was given a lei to wear. It was a fun evening.

The riders group buys the food, prepares the food and then serves the food to our guest the first Friday of each month. Each month the fundraiser is for a different cause. Our fundraiser for the month of November is for Fort Riley’s Operation Santa Claus.
