On October 2nd the American Legion Riders of Post 17 had their first monthly dinner. All the food and desserts were prepared and served by the riders.
For our first dinner we decided on Spaghetti with meat sauce (or alfredo sauce), salad and breadsticks. Our ladies also made a huge selection of desserts; sheet cakes, cookies and cheesecake. No one went home hungry that night.
The monthly dinners are put together for our group to raise funds for different events. The American Legion Riders from Post 17 will donate $500.00 to the “Big Red One Turkey Run”.. We will also be participating in distributing the food to soldiers and their families.
