On Friday, September 11, 2015 the American Legion Riders from Post 17 participated in the Fort Riley Ceremony.
The ceremony is a tribute to the more than 3,000 people who were killed in the attacks on New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. The ceremony also pays tribute to the thousands of soldiers who have been killed or wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.
We all remember where we were and what we were doing on that horrible day.
After the September 11th ceremony several of our American Legion Riders and some students from the Flint Hills Job Core helped spruce up the veteran’s cemetery. Thank you so much!
