What happens when you plan a motorcycle trip in May? In Kansas?

You get cold weather! And within our first 45 miles, we got pelleted by freezing rain twice. Several people in the group backed out because of the cold temperatures, but those of us who went on this trip had a great time.

We stopped in Marion, KS to see our first waterfall. It is a manmade one in the city park area, but it was still very pretty. Next we made our way to Ellinwood, KS to check out the underground tunnels and old Hotel (with paranormal activity).

Next trip to Ellinwood we are going to stay at the “Hotel Wolf“.

A few short miles later we stopped for the night in Great Bend. Our group visited the American Legion then grabbed a bite to eat at a Mexican food restaurant.  It was a great day!!

The following day we made our way to Kanopolis, KS to see another waterfall.  We stopped in Wilson, KS for lunch at a restaurant called “Made From Scratch“. The food was good! Next stop…..Home.
